Our House!

Welcome to our house!!

We have had several at home projects we have completed
in the past few months:

We like shop for things at a good price and if we can't
find what we want we build it! Ruston and his dad (Dan) built this beautiful Electric
Fireplace mantel with book shelves all in one day!

We found this piece at Hudson's Treasure
Hunt in Hattiesburg for $299. It was a golden
natural pine wood with a clear finish on it
and a few scratches and dents. We had never
stained before and had to learn the hard way
about how to do so... we sanded, stained,
messed up, re-sanded, and stained again, then
put a protective spray over the stain.
I must say it turned out GREAT!!

I recovered the chairs of this old dinning room set that
Ruston's Dad gave us with gold Zebra fabric that I
Purchased for $7 a yard! And with the left over material
I made a table runner... so to transform this table for $14,
I thought was a pretty good price!
